Autosomal dominant hypercholesterolaemia is genetically heterogeneous, but most commonly (93%) caused by mutations in low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR), where the disease is known as familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH), or apolipoprotein B-100 (APOB) ∼5.5%.
